The Wizard of OzMagical Starlight Theatre will hold auditions for the The Wizard of Oz on Friday, October 13, Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, located at the N.W. corner of Eagle and Jackson Streets in Naperville (enter from upper level). Auditions for children (grades 4 through 10) will be from 1:00-3:30 PM on Saturday and 12:30-2:30 PM on Sunday. Auditions for actors 16 and older will be 7:00-9:00 PM on Friday and 2:30-4:00 PM on Sunday. Call backs, if necessary, will be held Monday, October 16 at 7 PM. Children and adults are asked to prepare an up-tempo song highlighting their vocal range. (Songs from the show are encouraged, but not required.) All auditioning should bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. There will also be a dance audition and a cold reading from the script. Ten performances will be presented: January 12-14, 19-21, and 26-28, 2007. Performances are at Naperville Central High School Auditorium. Rehearsals will generally be scheduled for Sunday afternoons, Monday and Wednesday evenings.
