Before Randy, Paula, and Simon, Albert Peterson had America’s #1 Idol – Conrad Birdie! Complications arise when Albert, Conrad’s agent stages a publicity stunt in which Conrad will kiss one lucky girl to be chosen from across the nation before he is drafted into the army. This “American Idol” of the fifties comes to a deserving, yet unprepared town for the winning kiss thus creating havoc for parents and teens and this “American Idol”.
